After \t\t\t\ta disappointing loss at the hands of Slovakia yesterday, the \t\t\t\tteam from Luxembourg knew they would have to improve on day 2. \t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\tIndeed, such was the mood in the camp that a system was put in \t\t\t\tplace to whip people into line. Nicknamed "The Kitty<\/b>", \t\t\t\tevery wayward serve would henceforth cost a player sharp \u20ac5; \t\t\t\tevery minute that someone was late for a team meeting – \u20ac1. <\/p>\n

\t\t\t\tOther misdemeamours, as decided upon after the offences had been
\t\t\t\tcommitted, included:<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\t– Losing a set 11-0 = \u20ac5
\t\t\t\t– Wearing a Swiss team shirt on court = \u20ac10<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\tThe opponents for the men’s team today took the form of group \t\t\t\tfront runners, Sweden and Hungary. For the ladies, Finland stood \t\t\t\tin the way of success. <\/p>\n

\t\t\t\tWhilst the results were not altogether different from yesterday, \t\t\t\tthe team were sure that Kitty had played her role well and the \t\t\t\tperformances put in by all were much improved.<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\tOf particular note, Nathan Sneyd<\/b> turned in a good \t\t\t\tperformance against the Swedish number 1, Rasmus Holt, going \t\t\t\tdown in a closely fought match 3-1. Likewise, Daniel Kaiser<\/b> \t\t\t\tlost by the same margin at 4 against his Hungarian counterpart.<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\tSo how much money did Kitty accrue? Well, the balls were \t\t\t\traaaather bouncy, Stephane<\/b> tends to get a bout of the \t\t\t\tsweats (hence the change of shirt), so Kitty has ended up with a \t\t\t\ttotal of \u20ac*** – a good night out is sure to be had on Saturday!<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\tTomorrow brings a crucial match for the men’s team against \t\t\t\tGibraltar, whilst the ladies have a day off and a chance to sit \t\t\t\tby the lovely pool and relax, In any case, the minnows from \t\t\t\tLuxembourg shall be sure to keep you posted.<\/p>\n
