47 jeunes joueurs ont participé samedi 19 janvier au championnat national junior organisé par la fédération luxembourgeoise de squash à Top Squash (Sandweiler).

La remise des prix à nos jeunes talents a été faite par Steve Kaiser, président de la FSL.

The “Clubs” Squash Open 2013 took place on the weekend of the 11th January 2013. Almost 60 players competed in 4 different levels. The A-Draw was won by Pétange’s Alex Benassi, who beat Nathan Sneyd in a gruelling encounter over 5 sets.

Ce vendredi 9 et samedi 10 novembre, la Fédération Luxembourgeoise de Squash a organisé le championnat national individuel. Avec 51 joueurs dans 4 catégories, le tournoi a connu un beau succès, d’autant plus que les meilleurs joueurs jouant au Luxembourg s’étaient inscrits. Le seul absent de marque était Sanjay Raval, champion en 2010 et 2011, qui ne pouvait donc pas défendre son titre à cause d’obligations professionnelles à l’étranger. C’est Marcel Kramer qui en profita pour devenir champion national, pour la troisième fois après 2008 et 2009, en s’imposant 3-1 en finale contre Jean-Claude Schmidt. Nouveau et ancien champion de la fédération devient le joueur professionnel Nathan Sneyd, qui s’impose 3-1 contre Danny Hutchines. Chez les femmes, c’est de nouveau Sandra Denis qui domine largement et qui devient championne nationale pour la 14^ème fois de suite !
